Step one: Spend moneys

(on it’s way to me)

Step two: Install (Next post!)

Step three: Profit?

This is a preparation project for the exhaust that I own but haven’t installed

and the wideband setup that goes in the yet to be installed exhaust for tuning purposes

Understand that within the $400 kit is really a $60 sensor and I wanted to buy just the sensor elsewhere and put my together myself but Dave has put together such a perfect setup. It draws power from the coil power supply, has the correct length + correct pin wire to add to the ECU and uses pre-bent custom SS tubing to make sure it looks as stock as humanly possible. It’s SO slick I will gladly fork over the bucks for his efforts.

Clean car, so must be a hose, amirite?

My 98 was tuned for only e85 so I’m happy tech has progressed to let me go full flex-fuel.

This is all really in prep for a blower, which will utilize the e85 much more.

Cool!

Buy an AN wrench that’s appropriate for those fittings. Don’t use a regular one. Trust me.

They’re all quick-disconnect fittings in this area of the car, though I do have a proper wrench set if needed!

Gotcha. I was thinking of the fittings on the stainless line. They appear to be AN6 fittings on a 3/8" line and they can/will gall with a regular wrench.

I’m sure they are, luckily that’s part of the assembly you’re paying for, so it’s pretty much two quick disconnects, two plugs, and then adding the pit to the ECU. Then turn it on in tune and fill the tables with data. Off you go!

No kit for the GTO, but the G8 and SS both have kits... For shame!

Different computer setup in the goat sadly- e40 vs others that are supported. GTO’s never got the e38 setup.
